User Survey - See how you could improve Colour Accuracy and save money as well!
Thousands of printers throughout the world are now routinely mixing their PANTONE Colours using the PANTONE Formula Scales. A survey carried out amongst a random sample of UK printers with PANTONE Formula Scales shows some of the reasons why:-
Ease of Use
Of the sample, 84% of users found the PANTONE Formula Scales very simple to use, and no-one found them difficult. Mixing up accurate PANTONE Colours is quick and easy.
Colour Accuracy
Nearly everyone reported a noticeable improvement to colour quality, and 75% reported significant improvements. The PANTONE Formula Scales give you an accurate formulation every time.
Time Saving
The PANTONE Formula Scales are the fastest way to accurate colour mixes. Average reported savings were 12.6 minutes per mix compared with either using a conventional scale or mixing by eye.
Save Ink & Reduce Waste
With the PANTONE Formula Scales it's easy to mix up any quantity of ink, just enough for the current job. According to our survey, you can expect to save 24.4% of the ink you use. Not only that, you don't have the increasingly expensive problem of disposing of the excess waste either. So why mix up 1 kg of ink (or buy a 1 kg tin) when you only need half that amount?
Cost Justification
The time that can be saved is press running time, and all the time savings mount up quickly. In addition, there is an additional saving on the amount of ink used, for example based on an average mix of 1 kg and cost of PANTONE Base Inks at £15 per kg. The table below shows the cost savings you can expect to make in a year by using the PANTONE Formula Scales:
|
Hourly Press Rate |
Number of PANTONE Mixes per week | |||
| 2 | 5 | 10 | 20 | |
| £20 | £640 | £1,600 | £3,200 | £6,400 |
| £30 | £840 | £2,100 | £4,200 | £8,400 |
| £40 | £1,040 | £2,600 | £5,200 | £10,400 |
| £50 | £1,240 | £3,100 | £6,200 | £12,400 |
It's not surprising that over 75% of the users thought that the cost of their PANTONE Formula Scales had been very easily justified!
